Are You Concerned About Your Security?
What personal information is collected?
Member Registration and Billing Information
At the time of your first reservation, we will ask you for your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and a password which you will use to later access your account. In addition, when completing a reservation you will be prompted to enter a credit card number either online via our secure servers or by telephone. This information is used to complete your hotel reservation and to contact you for customer service, if necessary; it is also used to make your visit to TDYPerDiem more convenient by, for example, only requiring you to enter this information once rather than for each reservation request. Additionally, should you choose to enable this feature, we will put you on our mailing list for notification about special offers, new TDYPerDiem features, and other news items.
TDYPerDiem collects IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers and for system administration.
With whom is the information shared?
As you are reserving hotel rooms with TDYPerDiem's partner hotels, we will provide only your personal information to the hotel at which you reserve a room. In any event, we will keep your credit card information on our secure server, as we charge your account directly after you check out of the hotel. This ensures that our partner hotels will not share your credit card information. Moreover, we do not share your personal information or private profile information with any other third parties. We reserve the right to conduct projects such as market research surveys in the future; however, we will release only aggregate usage data to any third parties in these cases.
What kind of security procedures are in place to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of this information?
Every transaction you make with TDYPerDiem over the Web is conducted with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, which encrypts or encodes the information transmitted for protection from interception and theft in transit. SSL is a proven standard used by virtually all other vendors on the Web. If your Web browser does not support SSL capability, we suggest you give us your credit card information over the phone instead. In addition, we take every precaution to protect our servers from outages, break-ins, or other malicious attempts to steal or alter your personal information stored on our servers.
In the unlikely event of misuse of your credit card information, your reservations are automatically protected to a minimum of $50 from fraudulent use. Please contact your credit card vendor for details. If we find that someone is fraudulently using a credit card to make a reservation on TDYPerDiem, the reservation will be immediately canceled and we will investigate the matter more thoroughly.
How can I access and update my personal information?
You can view and edit your personal information at any time by clicking the My Account link available on every page of our Web site. You will also be presented with the option to view and edit your personal information at the conclusion of every reservation you make with us. If you wish your account to be removed from our database, you may e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org at any time to do so.
Please note that although TDYPerDiem contains links to other Web sites, TDYPerDiem does in no way endorse or take responsibility for these sites. Please consult the privacy policies for these individual sites to ensure your safety.
When you create an account, you will be issued a password that ensures that only you can access your account. Please be cautious with this password, as you would be with a bank card PIN, as it allows others to make reservations in your name with your credit card. If you suspect that someone else has been using your account, please contact us immediately at email@example.com.
In addition to the circumstances described above, TDYPerDiem may disclose member information if required to do so by law, court order, as requested by other government or law enforcement authority, or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable, including, without limitation, to protect the rights or properties of TDYPerDiem or when we have reason to believe that disclosing the information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing interference with our rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when anyone else could be harmed by such activities.
